The aluminium backing provides maximum stability and is incredibly lightweight. The board known as di-bond is constructed of three layers, with a grey polythylene core bonded between two outer skins of thin aluminium.

A protective laminate is then mounted over the image to provide maximum protection. The board has a specially designed hidden subframe on the back which gives the impression that the artwork is floating from the wall.
